Brampton Park Golf Club has been developed as a traditional 18 hole parkland course of 6310yds. With graceful mature trees and a host of attractive water features, Brampton Park’s picturesque golf course is renowned for its unspoilt natural landscape. Boundaried on one side by the Great Ouse, the course has options for all skill levels but will be especially appreciated by players who can think their way around the strategically placed hazards and fiendish doglegs. On a memorable course, the fourth stands out above the rest, having been voted the hardest par 3 in England, and the third hardest par 3 in the U.K. From the tee you face an island green sheltered by trees and surrounded by water, a daunting challenge for the most confident of golfers. How will you play the hardest par 3 in England! Whatever your ability it will surely leave you wanting to come back and play time and time again.
Here at Brampton we are also blessed with a wide variety of natural wildlife such as badgers, muntjac deer, swans, herons and many more animals that have made their home here, with one of the largest badger colonies in East Anglia on the 16th fairway, lending its name to ‘badger alley’ as it has become known.
Today’s Golfer said that Brampton Park Golf Club, is a ‘superb, mature course in unspoiled natural landscape... requiring every club in the bag, with one of the most memorable short holes (the par 3, 4th) you're ever likely to play... There are some quirky and fun holes to play that feature: big doglegs, huge trees guarding greens and plenty of water, especially at the signature par 3, 4th hole where you're firing through an avenue of trees to an island green.’
Brampton has also been voted the 7th best golf club in Cambridgeshire by top100golfcourses.co.uk, stating that there are ‘woods and lakes abound at Brampton Park Golf Club, where fairways wind around an undulating parkland landscape. The par 3 signature hole at the 4th – played to an island green – epitomises the golfing test here, as water comes into play at many of these holes.’
Brampton Park has a very active members club with a full programme of competitions for both Men and Ladies as well as an extensive programme of matches against other clubs in the region. We have probably the best and largest Seniors Section in the area and a well integrated and popular Junior Section. For the complete novice, our resident Professionals are on hand to guide you into the joys of this great game.
Societies, green fee guests and new members will not only enjoy the course, but will find a very warm welcome from our bar and catering staff, providing generous hospitality in a friendly and comfortable environment.
